An “age spot,” a brownish spot on the skin, is actually called a lentigine. Age spots appear over time, but can also be caused by overexposure to the sun. Age spot treatment happens over a 2 to 3 week period where any brown spots, or freckles, will darken and then flake off. Best results occur over 4 to 8 treatments.
